(White Petals with Pale Green Centre)
Origin: Australia (Victoria)
Meaning: Symbolises sincerity, respect, and longevity.
In modern floral design, it is more commonly understood as a symbol of stability and balance.
BOTANICA — 001: the soft launch of Fractal Studios in Docklands, our new headquarters and creative hub where ideas cut sharp, impact precise.
Rooted in the philosophy of ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement, this workshop explores its essential elements — line, interval, balance, and restraint — treating the act of arranging as a way of attending to form, proportion, and pause.
Under the guidance of Bev from Mysignature Flora, our experienced Ikebana Sensei, the session moves between brief contextual framing and laser-focused hands-on practice, offering an unforgettable entry point into ikebana. Working with a carefully selected range of seasonal and rare flowers, each participant develops an arrangement that privileges structure and intention over decoration. The session is designed to be accessible to those new to ikebana, while offering depth for participants drawn to art, design, and material-based practice. It concludes with a considered pairing of small plates and wine, within a restrained, pared-back ambience.
